Our Vision

Stem Literacy is Dropping in the US.

While the world around us becomes increasingly reliant on science, technology, engineering, and math, the United States faces a concerning decline in STEM literacy. This is evident in our international rankings, with the US trailing many developed nations in both math and science literacy. This trend hinders individual opportunities in a growing job market but also threatens our nation's ability to innovate and compete on a global scale.

Why Should You Care?

  • A wider range of career opportunities: STEM fields are projected to experience significant job growth in the coming years. STEM opens doors to exciting and well-paying careers in areas like healthcare, engineering, technology, and more for you or your child.

  • A stronger and more innovative nation: A STEM-literate population is crucial for driving innovation, developing new technologies, and solving complex challenges. This, in turn, fuels economic growth and national security.

The Bottom Line

STEMLeap is dedicated to igniting a passion for STEM in younger students, who are disproportionately impacted by the decline in STEM literacy in the United States. Through our week-long, immersive workshop, we will equip these students with the foundational knowledge and skills they need to thrive in a world powered by STEM. We believe that fostering their curiosity and providing them with engaging hands-on learning experiences will empower them to become the generation of STEM leaders and problem-solvers for a brighter future for everyone.
